The principals in the firm are well-qualified to provide technical leadership to a diverse work force:

Arthur R. Lash is owner and President with experience in a variety of areas of general engineering construction, including fifteen years managerial background in large earthmoving projects, highway and street construction and flood control projects such as dams and concrete channels. He was foreman on the CalTrans project to construct new concrete freeway lanes and three interchanges from Summerland to Carpinteria, CA.

James W. Lash is Vice-president and a civil engineering graduate from California Polytechnic Institute with thirty-two years engineering and managerial experience in structural concrete, earthmoving and paving. He has been with Lash Construction since 1978 at its inception. His background includes two years with Dillingham Corp. as a field engineer constructing bridges on the Pearl Harbor interchange in Hawaii and two years as a superintendent at the Santa Monica Debris Basin. His responsibilities as field engineer for Dillingham included designing falsework, supervising and inspecting construction of structures, and resolving technical problems between Agencies and the Contractor. His focus at Lash Construction has been the estimating and management of all structural concrete, mechanical and utility projects. Under his direction, Lash Construction has completed five concrete reservoirs for Calleguas District, several bridges and retrofits, and a major modernization and expansion of the City of Simi Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Alan D. Lash is Vice-President of the underground division of Lash Construction. He is also  project manager and estimator for all underground construction projects, beginning his employment with Lash Construction in 1993. He has supervised City of Santa Barbara water and sewer main replacement projects totaling over $7 million. Additionally, he has been in charge of constructing all utility improvements for large private projects locally – off-site for Maravilla Senior Housing and St. Vincent’s/ Mercy Housing.
